About The Event
“Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”
(C.G. Jung)
This is a creative writing & life journaling workshop that lives at the intersection of deep self-knowledge and artistic expression.
During the time of the summer solstice we gather again to look at what the first half of the year has brought to fruition and how we envision the rest of the year. It is an invitation to uncover what has been hidden, to begin what never started and to use your own creativity to express what needs to be said.
Across the weekend, you will be guided through:
Generative writing prompts (fiction & non-fiction/memoir)
Dream and symbol analysis
Guided meditations and visualisations
Reflective journaling exercises
Rituals inspired by the summer solstice
Exercises designed to deepen creative intuition and reconnect with your artistic self-expression
We'll be looking at excerpts from:
Dream Analysis by Carl Gustav Jung
Women Who Run With The Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes
The Doors of Perception by Aldous Huxley
A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare
(and more)
You will come out of this weekend with new writing, new insights, new ideas and most importantly changed.
